Heading the Stores department of a 2×270 MW thermal power project — owning material receipt, preservation, issue, reconciliation and vendor coordination across the plant's construction and operations.
Stores Operations
- Preparation of S.O.P. related to MRN, MIN and other stores activities.
- Preparation of location maps for stores — inside and outside areas.
- Material unloading, proper stacking and tagging / labeling of material.
- Preparation and forwarding of Material Discrepancy Reports for short / excess / damaged material received.
- Issue of material against Material Issue Notes and updating the system.
- Maintaining separate records of material issued on a returnable basis to agencies / contractors.
- Proper material preservation to protect from rain, heat and dust.
- Coal & oil accounting.
- Submission of monthly stock statements to the bank.
- Verification of material & freight bills for financial accounting and payment.
- Various MIS reports, periodically and on demand.
BTG Vendor (BHEL)
- Follow-up for BBU & SL.
- Follow-up for sequential material required for erection activities.
- PG-MA-wise posting of material received at site — giving a clear status of inventory required, received and balance to receive.
- Verification of material receipt at site for payment purposes.
- Developing procedures for material receipt, issue and stacking.
BOP Vendor (MBECL)
- Regular follow-up for Billing Break-Up (BBU).
- Follow-up for sequential material required for erection activities.
- Posting of material received at site according to BBU — clear status of inventory required, received and balance to receive.
- Verification of material receipt at site for payment purposes.
- Developing procedures for material receipt, issue and stacking.
